Comments:

Back home from K7RI station. Thanks again to Tom for the use of the station for
my favorite 30 minutes of the week. Tom has pair of KT36XAs at about 40' and
80', plus a 4 el 40 at 60'. Slopers on 80 and loaded tower for 160. Drove over
during the SNS, right past W7OM's house, with the S meter hitting the peg as I
drove by. Then drove up to K7RI's place a few miles south of Rod and worked him
from the car and another peg of the meter. California was VERY loud (K6III
especially) from the car and at the start of the NS, but rapidly disappeared
during the 30 minute event. Tonites 20 meter only event was great fun ! good
propagation to TX, GA and TN especially, and of course to MONTANA's N9RV (who
believe it or not, was as loud as W7OM a few miles away!!). Short skip MT to
WA. CONDOLENCES to Mike W9RE and his top antennas ! so sorry to hear that !
See you all next week for another 20 only event I believe. Activity from 14035
to 14050 was a first tonite. Never heard the NS so spread out. Lots of holes.
73 de DanWa K7SS.
