Comments:

This test served to shake down the new radios and get started back into enjoying
the game by playing. No real way to run EU from here on 20 and 40, but maybe
next year? I tried. Had 1 EU respond to the run efforts on 20 and 40. The
vibe of this test was saved by a sweet opening to Oceania and Asia on moribund
15M the last 3 hours of the test. Running the faithful there was just basic
fun. The 2 Q's on 10M were N6TW who was checking alertly the doomed band while
my second radio was occasionally bleating CQ's, and a fellow who made his very
first shell-shocked Q with me, probably against his better judgement, by
overcoming natural inclinations and calling in to see just what might be
happening.
Congrats to Mitch, K7RL, who has raised the bar out here in RF-free zone
3! I need to figure out how to pipe in salt water to make a moat around this
place to compete a bit better, it appears. Plus I need to knock the rust off
and add skills.
Thanks to all the rabid contesters around the globe who are infected with
this entity called Radio Contesting. This can sure be fun! The JA folks are
still the most behaved and orderly in RF jousting- a culture to emulate. The
refrigerator motor is still talking in small voices that resemble Q's to me.
That goes away with a dab of sleep usually.
See you in the CQ-CW in a month or so..then gird your wahrs for that epic
160M CW conflaguration happening the end of December notably called The Stew
Perry TopBand DX Challange sponsored by The Boring Amateur Radio Club.
Plaquing notices will soon arrive in an email inbox close to you soon.
   73 and I remain,
    Lew W7EW/W7AT
