Comments:
It seems like I just cannot get back to the 50 QSO level. Like last week, the Q
count was very low, but the mults were OK. Twenty sounded almost dead before the
start, and signals were barely above the noise. Twenty picked up after 0230Z,
but I stayed there too long. Forty was good as always. Went to 80 for the last
7 minutes, but it was very slow for the first 2 - 3 minutes there.
I missed many jump balls, and many CQs went unanswered. A few times, when I
sent my exchange to someone who answered my CQ (with a strong signal), they did
not reply, the frequency was quiet, I sent the info a second time, and no still
reply. I dunno what happened there. Also, some stations still do not
acknowledge receipt of information before vanishing. I had a few of those this
week, too. East and west coast stations seemed weaker and more sparse this
week. Nice to hear and work VE4XT and VE3NE. I think this is the first time I
have heard them in the NS.
I missed hearing and working my grandson, K0DXC, Cal / Kid in the NS this week.
Cal was at my QTH for FD, but he is now continuing his family vacation in MN
for a few days. He should be back in the NS next week.
