Comments:

FT1000MP, 100W, TH6DXX, dipole, inverted vee. 20M was open five minutes before
the contest to CA, but K6VVA faded. W1AW on 047.5 came up out of the mud and
the only stations heard once the contest started were W1UE and W1UJ in MA. 40M
seemed very good, but long. Rate was good. But K9BGL was ESP and everyone closer
was likewise unworkable. Did hear and call N4DW and W4NZ with but got beat by
stations loud to us both. Rate suffered when went to 80, as NE and mid-west
stations were working each other and there weren't too many SE stations to
work. Still missed N1LN and N4DW on 80. Worked a very loud N6RO and KI7Y was
heard and called, but I lost out to a western caller. Very disapppointing
results compared to what seemed to be a good run about half way through.
Thanks for all the QSOs. Hope to work you all in the NA Sprint SSB practice
tonight and the real thing tomorrow. 73, John, K4BAI.
