Comments:

When the contest started I discovered that sometime between setting up the
computers on Friday evening and the beginning of the contest I had lost my main
radio settings in WriteLog. I spent the first two hours sending everything by
hand while I tried to copy the Ports settings from my second radio between Q's.
I eventually ended up shutting down and restarting WriteLog while I continued
logging on the second networked computer.

My first couple hours of CW SS are usually in the high 90's or low 100's, but
with the hand-sending and distraction of trying to get the rig re-interfaced I
ended up with hours of 85 and 83. I then spent another half-hour editing the
frequency and mode information of about 40 of these Q's that were logged with
no band info on LSB because one of my tweaks had made things worse.

I was called by VO1MP, 3 DE stations, 2 ND stations, 2 MAR and 3 QC stations
early on 20. These are mults that I've either missed or had a hard time
finding in previous years. I also made sure I worked VY1EI before I left 20
since I missed NT last year when I was unassisted on phone. I ended up working
8 different DE stations so I was surprised to see that this was the only mult
missed by some. My last mult was SB which surprisingly called me on 20 on
Sunday morning.

I used a barefoot MP Mark V as my second radio again this year hooked up to our
normal spotting antenna, a Mosley Pro67A. It worked fine as long as there
wasn't a pileup and signals weren't too weak. Most of my second radio contacts
were on the band that I was running on.

Sharing the station with K6SU (KZ2V) and W6LD worked fairly well. I had to
keep reminding myself to use the second radio and it was very easy to get
distracted by radio swaps on the other station and forget to tune around on my
second radio.

Thanks to all for the Q's.

-Mike, N7MH
