Comments:

A remarkably consistent evening tonight (:30 - 8 QS0s, :40 - 8 QSOs, :50 - 9
QSOs). 40M seemed marginally better than last week while 160M came to life for
me a little later tonight. I abandoned the second radio at 0247Z, allowing me
to turn on the active RX array for 80M (it gets clobbered by my second antenna
on 40M) and my 80M rate immediately spiked. I'm going to have to rethink the
two radio strategy here because I'm comparatively deaf on 40M & 80M without the
RX array. Actually, having now used the array inside and outside contests for
the past month or so, I almost have no idea how I ever operated without it. I'm
thinking that the benefit of this antenna is likely to outweigh the impact of my
second radio until I find some time to improve the antenna options here. Funny
how it keeps coming back to first needing to hear them before you can work
them.

Thanks to everyone for the QSOs!

73,

Joe
WI2E
