Comments:
Great to see 20 meters . . finally.
I gave up. after 6 q's on 20m i switched to 40 and WL promptly crashed, for
the first time in 8 years of using this fine software. But I did remember all
6 q;s so decided to carry on . . having to hand send everything with multiple
QLF's because of having to add 6 to the displayed QSO number (computer keying
had failed also). But then a discouraging thing happened that caused me to give
up in disgust:
I called cq on 40 and a pile up ensued, not unusual these days. The only
letter decipherable was "G" so I sent G? not knowing if it was K0TG, KE0G or
some one new. Three times in a row the same east coast station, stronger but
with no G in the call responded in perfect sync . it was not an accident.
Finally, i made a guess(correct) that it was KE0G and I worked Dan
successfully. I don't care to reveal the call of the offending station . .but
this kind of "dx pileup" behavior is totally unacceptable in the NS ladder
because, aside from representing unacceptable ethics, it will negatively effect
both rate and score of our contest.
