We wish to dedicate the first-ever launch of 4U1GSC callsign into the sky to our
dear colleague, Massimo, who unexpectedly passed away a week before RRDXC. RIP,
Massimo.
With the help of colleagues from the newly established UN Global Service Center
Amateur Radio Club, we managed to put 4U1GSC on the air. The electricity has
been connected to the shack only on Friday noon so there was no enough time to
finalize all works and operate full time, all bands. Field style operation, no
internet, disturbed propagation at times, limited antenna choice but unlimited
fun, thanks to the RRDXC participants.
