My main reason for coming to Brittany was the upgrading of the 3el.40m yagi to a
4 elements used by Gil. Despite the unfavourable weather conditions on Thursday
and Friday, we did the job.
At first I was tempted to operate on 40 meters during the week end, but after
this physical activity, I decided to wait until Saturday morning to choose
between 10 or 15 meters. Due to a low SFI, my choice at the last minute was 15m
band. Conditions on Saturday were good with some good rates and 59 multipliers.
On Sunday, it started off really slowly and rates were lower. In addition,
Murphy was apparently decided to participate with me in the contest (power
cuts). Fortunately, two new multipliers were added to the list with VY1JA and
VO2NS. Good signals until around 22z, but not too many callers…
Congratulations to Olivier F1AKK (TM6M) and Per SM2LIY (SJ2W) who took
advantage of his super antenna setup!
Many thanks to Gil and his wife Caro for welcoming /hosting me.
