Comments:

My participation in RDXC was not expected this year. Indeed, I was "no
assisted" with internet or packet - there is not a separate category, no
CAT to the radio, no link to the computer for CW keying, frequency or mode
changes - rules ask 1kHz of precision... , no time to organize correctly the
antennas on the towers... And always this rain in case of you need to keep cool
and refresh your death ideas... As I was there, I even decide to go in the
battle as it, as SO-HP-SB-15... So the beginning was hard, as previously in the
old good time of the contest operation, with only my ears and my lambic BY-1...
I must be very careful for cw/ssb mode changes... Hopefully Win-Test software
was strong and was a familiar good guy! Sharing run and search multipiers was
the challenge as usual but with more here the cw/ssb sharing time to look for
multipliers. I was very happy to make nice dx or scare oblasts. Propagation was
average even if it was opened during the night, as I have listen few South
american and one African stations around 01z but as usual they are alone and
the prpagation path was to the USA. I have listen a good 9Q0HQ signal inside an
USA pile-up but outside the contest during the night... No long path qso to the
asiatic russian sunrise in opposite of my propagation forecast which was
definitly too optimist... So I must wait my sunrise to do usual short path qso
with some UA0 stations. Thanks to all for QSO's, for exchange of few russian
and french words, and see you next year. Laurent F6GOX.
