K3/10 at 5 watts to a pair of broad band dipoles up about 40 to 45', fed with
balanced lines and tuners, can be switched back and forth. Not a peep on 20 M,
but 40 was QRN-less and long. Big Sigs on 40 M were far away: n4af, wj9b, and
6y4k, and on 80M: w0bh and w9re, typical, with both about 450-480 miles away.
