Comments:
Started on 20. Signals seemed pretty good, but not enough activity to keep
things going and the coverage area was not good so rate was mediocre. Some
Europeans. Went to 40 after 20 minutes. Lost a couple minutes on the band
change and finding a spot. More antennas and SO2R and the ability to hear on
the band I am going to use next might help. Things clicked along OK, but
perhaps I was late since I started on 20. Only had 63 QSOs on 40 when it
seemed to thin out. Went to 80 for the last 10 minutes. This was way too late
because the band was packed and there just was not enough time to work most
everybody! Overall, lots of stumbles, added up to lost time. Another 10
minutes of real operating time would have really helped, however, the mults
were down quite a bit. Overall, the antennas seemed pretty effective, but I
could have used a receiving antenna on 80.
