Comments:
Tough conditions on the bands all weekend. The flip side, we were well rested,
shutting down at night to sleep. When the rate fell off on 40/80, it seemed a
better use of time to catch some Z's instead of working 12 an hour. 15/m was
non-existent on Saturday, but gave us about an hour and a half of decent work on
Sunday. The contest was mostly a total slog for the 2nd station all weekend
during the day as it was essentially a 3 band contest - 20m during the day,
40m/80m at night, which allowed Jay to get some other repair work done on
Saturday around his house. Lost one of the amps with about 2 hours to go in the
contest, couldn't get it to reset out of fault - the curse of gear dying during
CQWWTRRY lives on!
