Comments:

Started on 40. SteppIr did not resonate, even after fussing with it for 30
minutes before the contest started. 35 wpm, band was quiet. K-=2, A=7. Lots
of CQing to get things started. East coast was weak. Lots of guys out west
(except W0), but not strong. WA6URY was loud as usual. W4 strong. @13:21Z 61
QSOs. @13:30z 81 QSOs, but slowing down. 40 was pretty much worked out.
Cleared spots and only a couple showed. Went to 20. Some strong guys, but not
too many new ones. Managed to work a couple Eu boys, but could not hear most of
them.. Things kind of fizzed out the last 15 minutes, or it would have been a
good score.

Plans for this week - clean the gutters, bring the concrete to the garage, set
some poles to bring in feedlines to the garage, work on the 80 meter antenna,
acquire poles for the 4 square, SMC Fest on the weekend, figure out how to get
any kind of 40 meter antenna far away so I can start practicing low power SO2R.
