Great conditions! I'm learning that my inverted-L lash-up actually gets out,
although I'm sure I was near ESP level at some stations. Thank you for making
this a really fun and challenging contest.
FT950, 100 watts. 50 KW WFED AM station a kilometer away on 1500 KHz. Antenna
(both TX and RX) was center conductor of coax, feeding antenna switch, feeding
coax that goes to KT34XA yagi that is up 60 feet. So part of this is vertical
and part horizontal. No ground radials, only the grounding of the tower and a
ground rod outside the basement shack. It's inefficient, but it works!
