Comments:
Started out tired with an upset stomach for weeks so hard to sleep. Vitamin D is
screwed up. In the last week I completed 10BWAS, and 6M digi. I am also two QSOs
from FT4-WAS, one QSO from 80 digi, one from 40 digi, one from 15 CW, and one
from 10 CW. Field Day was good with 1833 QSOs. This year through June I had
25,601 QSOs.
Started on 40. SteppIR did not work. Lots of CQing, but had 20 QSOs in the
first 6 minutes. At 1315Z had 52 contacts. More CQing at 1327Z. At 1332 had
104 contacts. Cruising on autopilot. But guys don't listen for their partial
call, so lots of repeats and missed QSOs. K4ITV had a perfect tail end. At
1337Z had to make 4 CQs to keep things going. As an experiment went to 20 at
1339Z to see if the rate would pick up. Signals were strong, but many of the
same guys, so the score suffered. Lost some guys because others would not stop
calling when I picked out a partial call. At other times too many called to
pick out a call. This rarely happens and is hard to practice. Anyway, it was
good and I look forward to the afternoon session.
