Not a great performance on my part. Went back and looked and I don't think I
ever participated in this contest before. I knew I wouldn't do especially
well, and that was verified this weekend, hi hi. Went high power, but with a
"baby" amp and probably should have "played" using the main
station. A lot of frustration trying to break pileups, or even having CA
stations hear me. So, part me, and part "questionable" band
conditions. Although, I should say I don't have a baseline for that accusation
on the latter. Two thrills, were working a couple stations on 160M (2 am here
and went QRT right afterwards), and a Sunday afternoon opening on 15M. I only
got about 30 minutes or so on 15M, therefore not sure how long the band was
open. Checked a couple times Saturday and no joy on 15. A lot of activity from
the CA stations, which kept things interesting. This is a very long contest.
