Comments:
My 160 dipole is unavailable due to the malfunction of my remote switch. My K3
loads my 80 meter dipole pretty well but, understandably, it doesn't work very
well. Nevertheless, I was able to have a nice 135 hour run on Saturday night.
Much to my surprise, two West Coast stations called me. I heard 4-5 pretty loud
EU stations plus KP4 and KP2, but the only DX that could hear me was C6. I was
afraid of what prolonged operation like this could do to my radio, so I only
operated a bit and I won't be operating much in the Stew or the Jan 160 contest.
