Comments:
X-rays were a straight C1. I monitored 50 MHz before
CWT, and did know that sporadic E had all the bands
open to most of Europe. However, started on 7 MHz
as the activity was low on the higher ones still.
At 0729Z Milen LZ5R on 28 MHz, one minute later on
21 MHz. I did run the upper bands LP as tuning the
linear takes too much time. 14 MHz gave a nice string
of new calls on own CQ with Allan VK2GR and Marko
NT6Q as a surprise. There were a number of A/K/N/W's
awake to be picked up. There was wide-band 'radar'
in the CWT-window, and fortunately the IC-7300
waterfall helps to avoid that sort of QRM.
In WPX I may hand out the relatively rare OG6- and
OH4-prefixes. But it may be N x SOSB for the other
calls available for activation. Not to win ...
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856 CWops
