Comments:
209 of my contacts were made on FT4, with just 22 on FT8, as I found the
slowness of FT8 rather boring in a contest environment. All of my contacts were
made on the special contest frequencies. Propagation was just fair during the
times I was on. I worked mostly USA stations; not too much DX was on. All in
all, a pretty good start for the inaugural ARRL Digi. The rules should be
tweaked, though. For example, there should not be a penalty for a NIL (just
loss of the QSO), due to the large numbers of NIL's inherent in any FT4/FT8
operation as a result of all the ambiguity surrounding confirmation of a
contact. 73, Ed AJ6V
