Comments:
Saturday went well, but Sunday was a slog. Not enough ops to work- came down to
a grind it out, keep BIC affair. Signals from Europe were loud, but there
simply weren't enough of them. The exchange keeps this pretty much an "off
the waterfall frequency" type of event, with very few casual ops. Unlike
CW-Digi, which just requires a signal report and one can reap contest QSOs from
the waterhole frequencies, if you aren't in this contest you really aren't
available for contacts.
QSO breakdown was 363 FT4, 647 FT8. Could seldom use SO2R on FT4 mode- only
bands with significant FT4 activity were 20 and 15m. 3580 was blocked by local
QRM, making that unusable.
Contest shortcoming was basically not enough activitt, particularly (for me) in
Europe.
But, it was a fun weekend!
