Comments:
This one was really gnarly. Started on 40 meters but just couldn't get any kind
of a run going, so switched to 80 about 3 minutes in to the session. 80 was in
reasonably good shape and supported a good but not spectacular run, but contacts
dried up about 15 minutes in. Back to 40, which was wall-to-wall signals, so
spent the next 20 minutes of so S&P until I found a hole way up the band and
finally got a pretty lackluster run going. Conditions on 40 weren't very good;
many of the usually strong longer haul signals were much weaker than usual.
Things were complicated by a very slow speed CQer who fired up on my run
frequency and parked there for the remainder of the session. Result: one of my
lowest scores for a 1300Z session in a long time. Hope things go better at
1900Z. See you then.
