Attn: Paul Ash:
Your 30L-1 amplifier appears to have a problem energizing its antenna
changeover
relay, K1.
This relay derives its voltage from a (-120vdc) supply that is supplied
by a winding
on the tranformer. There are related components that are involved with
the operation
of this relay.
First thing to do:
Turn amplifier ON.--- Place meter switch in D.C. Amps.
After warm up take a shorting plug and place it into J3 (Ant. Relay).
You should
hear a click and your plate meter should show an indication of resting
plate current
of approximately 130 ma.
If not, troubleshoot the circuit.....consult your schematic.
Regards,
Bob - K4NV
