Hi Steve;
I work in a tech. field, not electronics. The products I use change with
each production run. I got in the habit of reading the latest stuff. Some
runs have major changes some don't. When I got the tube for my amp
project (8877) I called Eimac for the most up-to-date data. It may have
changed in the 2 years since I received my data sheet. I'll check again
to see. But I would at least make a phone call before trusting 20 year
old data for a product in current production. I don't know much about the
3CX1200A7 but I recall a data sheet announcing a change in the heater
voltage. I think it went from 5 to 7.5 or something of the kind. If I was
to build with that tube I would want to be up on any changes.. I'm sure
you would too. That was (I thought it would be obvious) my point. See my
