Basically, two chokes mounted at right-angles work better than one.

Nope, if you do your homework. . #20 silicone-varnish wire will easily
handle 5a in hv-rfc service. #24 would be plenty for 1.5a. . Delrin
has a fairly high Dissipation-factor. G10 epoxy/fiberglass tubing is
much less likely to cause a choke fire, however, G10 tubing is not cheap.
. You need a dipmeter to assist in safely parking the resonances in
unused areas. A hand drill (held in a bench vise) comes in handy.
