A few months ago I had a few exchanges with a few individuals regarding
the substituting of Svetlana'a 6KG6/EL509 for 6LQ6 tubes in the Dentron
GLA-1000 and similar amps.
For those of you interested, I visited Svetlana at their booth at Dayton
and they provided me with a Tech Note explaining just how to do it. It
took nothing more than moving one pin connection and touching up the
coil by one turn or so.
The power output measured from four 6KG6 tubes is as good or better than
with the original 6LQ6 tubes.
I haven't checked, but would suspect that the Tech Note for this is
available on their Web Site.
