Well, I went to the "Train Built" site and couldn't find anything about
3CX3000s. But the guy does display some impressive high power stuff. I
noticed that on one page they called it "broadcast amps" and "Be sure to
follow the FCC rules" was also posted. With today's legal climate it
seems like a disclaimer is all you need.
And let's face it, CBers aren't the only ones running above their legal
power limit.....
And hey, on the "Train Built" page he had a link to a DX resource page
which actually looks pretty cool.
But yes I'd agree: It is dancing on the edge of criminality. To brag
about the 8KW amp you have in your Surburban has got to get you in some
sort of hot water!
