There is no way Jose, you will run a N on 432 MHz at 1500W CCS even below
sea level. I believe the N carries a Mil and commercial rating of 500W at
500Mhz and 300W at 1Ghz.
I run N with 1500W on 2M and it gets rather warm during contests or
prolonged MS skeds.
There are also many varieties of the UG-21 designator...up to letter D or
maybe higher. Contrary to some belief, the N will work fine with RG-8 or
RG-213 as well as double shield RG-9, 214, etc. The UG-21 is a Mil-Spec
designator and it has been used with single and double shield cables as
long as I can remember.
There is a different Amphenol commercial part number and I'm not sure
what that covers but it is the nickel plate non Mil-Spec variety and
there is even a number for 9913 garden hose.
There are also some pretty poor examples on the ham market from both
import and US manufacturers. I have had rather poor luck whenever I try
and go El-Cheapo...learned my lesson and now scrounge only undamaged
Mil-Spec at fleamarkets.
It is also quite simple to assemble the connector right the first time
and every time IF you follow the instructions for that EXACT connector
UG-21 designator. I have never had a RF or pull test failure since I was
taught in the Navy over 35 years ago.
