Yep and there is the rub ye ole spin doctor...since they supposedly build
so many of their own parts one must wonder why they are no longer
available.
Many amp companies, even long out of existance, still have those that
dedicate themselves to providing original or reproduction parts. Henry
says "Solly, we no have".

I can remember touring the Mack Truck plant before it came down for urban
renewal.
How about making available a list of those treasures Dan, or are they of
no interest to those with typical needs?
I still have many "treasures" from National Radio but I doubt if anyone
is interested in 35+ yr old junk that never needs replacing.

Certainly not Henry after many, many calls to them over the years looking
for help, parts and with a ready checkbook.
I get better help from old Dentron personnel.
Drake does their best and even maintains a list of other sources.
Amp Supply/Dentron has Omega and others.
Heath has many new and repro sources.
Ameritron has a great Service and Parts dept and doesnt even try and
screw non-owners looking for parts.
And I try to fill in wherever I can.
Oh and before I forget...I would think that any reliable manufacturer
that has been using the same basic 3-400/3-500Z line up for 30+ years
wouldnt have to redisgn the hardware ( and obsolete the old) on a regular
basis if it worked right the first time.
The 8877, 3CX3000A7, 3CX800A7, 3CX1200, etc have also been around enough
years to get it right without using customers as test beds.
I wont even get into the disastrous Henry Medical amps which are a joke
among the industry.
Should I continue?? Please.

Its a bit of a shame when a 160lb boatanchor begs for $400-500 even in
working condx; about what a SB-220 or Clipperton L brings.
Of course many repair parts are still available for the latter making
them a lot more desirable.

Sounds like your usual spin Dan. I never mentioned repair costs, just
total lack of support once the product is considered obsolete...sorta
like buying a Ford.

Woopy do dah. I still have 3 original NCL-2000 prototypes ( 1963) but I'm
not into an ego trip and showing pictures of them.
And yes they all work, so I guess that is also a quality statement....
There are also many old Collins, Hallicrafters, Johnson , Hunter, BTI,
and other even older amps still in daily service so I fail to see any
meaning to your point.
Since you already have a Henry WEB page why do you need another source of
propaganda?
