When used in UHF television transmitters, this type of meter is not
normally used for glitch protection. They are not fast enough to
prevent damage from an arc (10 mF cap stores a huge amount of energy
at ca. 30 KV). Normal practice is to employ DI/DT detectors to
fire a crowbar circuit.
Your best "glitch" protection is still the 50 Ohm 50 watt resistor in
the B+ line.
