It's too bad W8JI left the reflector before this came up.  He claims you can
stabilize an 8877 w/o a suppressor.  I believe that's possible since I've
stabilized a 4-1000 w/o a traditional suppressor as well.  Is the Ameritron
amp properly designed to operate w/o a suppressor?  Perhaps not.  I'd like
to hear the opinion of the man who designed it, however.
