Hans, I'm sorry to say that you CANNOT get 850 or 890 watts out of a single
3-500 tube.
Rich sez so.................. (Rich did mention "at this anode supply
voltage")
Now, back to reality, 3500 VDC at 400 MA with 60% efficiency is 840 watts
out. This is at only 60% with 3500 VDC and at rated current. Easy to see how
guys can get 2000 watts from their pair in a HENRY 3K, 2K Classic X, etc.
Still the best value in legal limit amateur transmitting tubes today at
$250/pair.
No need to argue this, it happens every day.
