The nice thing about a resistor in lieu of a choke is that it is not a
tuned circuit on some frequency. In the Ugly Amplifier, a 50uH solenoid
choke provides a DC bleeder path to ground. 50uH was used because it is
the highest inductance choke that has no resonances inside the HF range.
