Hej Hans
During the summer I replaced tubes in a friends FL2100B which is similar(in
fact its a copy) to the SB200.
>From the beginning the amplifier was using CetronUS 572B's and there was no
parasitics.
However when I installed Svetlana 572B there was a big bang and one of the
grid resistors blew up, and the cure was full parasitic scheme in plate,
grid and cathode circuits. I got a big help from this reflector and Rich
Measures in solving this case, and it was reported here in september 99.
Every time I talk to my friend he says: The amplifier is still working, and
it has never performed better!
The SB-200 is much better designed mechanically, so you may not run into
the same trouble that I did with the FL2100B.
My experience is that the Svetlana 572B is much "hotter" than the CetronUS
original 572B
