Yes, many amplifiers are poorly designed and underbuilt. And, it is =
true that some of the manufacturers give a run around or simply "it is =
your fault", while Rich Measures carefully explains the reasons for all =
the failures. I does seem strange that as I read the reasons for many =
failures, I know what the conclusion will be before I reach it - that of =
parasitic oscillation - which can be cured by his parasitic suppression =

Rich's original article in Ham Radio sounded plausible and conclusive. =
It would fix all parasitic problems. But, then, another article was =
published by Rich, who said that he had heard from a number of people =
who still had parasitic problems - so a better cure was developed.
I am curious if installing a "glitch" resistor, as recommended by tube =
manufacturers, along with "magnetic therapy" would cure many of the =
parasitics. It may be that the nichrome wire used has some particular =
quality that breaks up the magnetic field created by the normal =
parasitic suppressor. A strong magnetic field might eliminate =
