Hi Stephen:

It could be the capacitor as suggested.  It also could be the tube.  I only
think I have heard one tube in 40 years talk back - but perhaps you are
lucky enough to have that happen to you.  If it is a tube, it will probably
not happen again for another 40 years.

Whatever it is, it will not be heard on the air.

And, after you solve the problem, you might remember how nice it was to hear
the talkback.  Lets you know everything is working all right.

Do like the manufacturers do.  If it is repeatable, call it a feature,
advertise the heck out of it, and charge more money.
