Very good idea. Reminds me of those beam deflection 7360 tubes used in SWAN
transceivers as balanced modulators. When you could not balance the tube,
almost certain it was magnetized. By just moving very slowly the tube in an
AC field ( the coil magnet in an old loudspeaker ) fixed the problem.
