This summer I listened to 27-29 MHz a bit, for DX, and noted that the
Freeband concept is alive and splattering. What is really astounding
to me is how horrible the audio and the RF quality of many of these
stations was. In many instances, they were nearly unreadable, even
though they were S9. The spectrum was very broad, and somehow the
concept of intelligance seemed lost in the race for high power
output. Somehow they have evolved into noise generators, away from
communicators.
