It gets worse. Maplin in the UK sell a range of gold-plated connectors
for car audio (like you could hear anything below -10dB). This includes
a gold-plated connector to the car battery and... wait for it... a gold-
plated Allen wrench to tighten it up.

And we worry about RF amp fetishism!
