Another option is to use the "best" switch and pass the 
extra cost on to the consumer. I would pay the extra,
but I know bean counters have their own problems.
Mil spec amps are expensive. 

Maybe the ten meter position could select a relay, but
whatever I hope you don't give up on a "real" p/s for
the new generation amp.
