That is my next project, since the Suburban was wrecked.

I am going to do a Extended Chevy Van with a smallish V8 in the back.

I think I should be able to run about 6 to 8 power supplies off a 300 
horsepower V8.

That should be good for 60 grand, no?

Correct, though only when at contest site and stationary.

Shorter, inductively loaded high power antennas are used mobile.

I believe that some competitions do allow taller, typically half-wave
'fighting sticks' to be used which are typically 18Ft tall with up to
five or more in a directional array atop said vehicle!

When you run out of bracket space for extra alternators you do as one
gentleman from Florida did and that is to have a second V8 mounted
inside the rear with a further 12.

Is that enough current for you sir?
