Yes. During late production of the SB-221, Heath increased the breakdown
V of C-tune by using wider spacing. My guess is that the subsequent
HL-2200 uses the wider spaced capacitor. The old Tune-C had a
breakdown V lower than the breakdown V of the bandswitch. Thus, when a
tank arc took place, the C-tune arced first, thereby protecting the
bandswitch. With the wide spaced Tune-C, the frangible bandswitch arcs
first. The TL-922 has the same problem. This problem can be easily
fixed before the bandswitch is destroyed . For details, see near the end
