How about 45% under run, Dr. Barry!
Too bad most amps on the commercial market today have no such
headroom in power or cooling.
I have worked on many of the Heath SB series amps. A lot of the
tubes are 25 + years old, and still going strong. Most of the tube
failures I have seen in Heath gear are from mistreatment and
failure of other components.
