A long-time Jennings employee once told me that
when Friday afternoon came around at the plant, and
production was lagging seriously behind due to quality
control rejects, one would hear the phrase "glip it and
ship it" coming from upstairs. A little dab of glyptol was
placed on the area of concern, and out the door.
Looks like RF Parts might have been the recipient of
a Friday afternoon production run!
Another wise man told me years ago to never buy a new
car that was built on Monday morning or Friday afternoon.
Having said that, I have many miles on my Fords and Jennings
products; two of my favorite companies. Mr. Jennings was a ham's ham,
and a most generous person.
