Fellow Hams,
Over the past week, there were several emails from Tom, Paul and Richard
questioning printed information from our web site regarding our PLA-800
amplifier. I would like to thank all of you for the lively discussion. It
prompted me to re-read my technical description of our PLA-800 and discover
the error that was being discussed.
The issue of screen current regulation was a typo mistake and we apologize
for any misrepresentation. The web page has been corrected to say, "screen
voltage regulation and plate overload protection". On the issue of IMD, if
tetrodes can exhibit more IMD, why did Collins, Westinghouse and Gates use
TETRODES?
I am pleased with the use of this forum however, as it can point out
mistakes or mis interpretations of product manufactures and can be viewed as
a useful communications medium.
