The issue of screen current regulation was a typo mistake and we =
apologize for any misrepresentation. The web page has been corrected to =
say, "screen voltage regulation and plate overload protection". On the =
issue of IMD, if tetrodes can exhibit more IMD, why did Collins, =
Westinghouse and Gates use TETRODES?
Because the exciters sold with them put out 1 watt or much less.
It saved them a bundle on driver stages, not to mention the number
of tuned inputs that would be required to cover 2-30 mhz.
