| Subject: | [Amps] sb-220 problem |

Hi all, Got an sb-220 at an estate sale a year ago... just getting around to checking it out now. It exhibits the following problem: when in rcv mode (i.e. no exciter), the grid current pegs the meter to the left. HV seems ok at 2500V. I have removed each (one at a time) of the 3-500z's and the problem still exists. It would seem that the problem exists somewhere in the bias supply... any help? Thanks, Mark, WA6JIQ |
