The question cannot be simply answered, because it leaves out facts
necessary. To answer the question, we need to know how much heat. And,
that involves where it is placed. Although some responses perhaps drifted
outside of the exact question, there were at least a few answers right on
point and I enjoyed the ride.
There are really two parts implicit in the question:
1. How does heat affect the mechanical operation and life of the fan?
2. How does the heat affect efficiency?
Since you never specified which question you wished answered, both areas
must be explored to have a complete answer. And, without asking further
questions, the full range of possibilities must be explored. And, given
this width and depth of the podium, in this forum, handing someone a mike
is an invitation to explore the far reaches of B-36's or wood stoves.
A more specific question might have elicited a more specific answer - but
perhaps not.
