Transformer, potted, 115vac pri /sec 15,000vac/30mA current-limiting.
Will produce 42kVdc in FWD configuration. Recommended filter C 2 x
0.01uF or so. Price $42 (a buck per kV) plus UPS. Secondary CT must be
grounded, so the unit under test must be isolated from ground. If a
common grounded-output high-pot is needed, a 3-capacitor FWD can be used
to produce + or - 21kVdc. Also suitable for fly zappers, X-ray tubes and
electric chairs.
