[Amps] warm up times of tubes?

Are warm up times of various tubes set in anyway with regards to what your
going to "hit" them with after X minutes? Or is it not related.

For example if a tube quotes 6 minutes to warm up (YC156) is there any way
one can reduce this  if you "promise the tube" its wont be working too hard
for the next 2-3 minutes? ..or in general operation.

Your advice please...
